This weekend, we made a trip to the South of Pennsylvania to adopt a dog. It was a fast-paced journey but everything went really well - hardly any traffic on the ‘pikes and best of all, the weather was very cooperative! We made the trip from Michigan and Julie and Kenny (and their three young children), the nice folks who were looking for a good home for their dog, came up to Pennsylvania from Virginia to meet us - so it was quite an adventure for all!
Anyway, here is the newest member of our family, a loveable Basenji mix, named Satchel…

As the final few days of 2007 are ticking away, I find myself reminiscing about the year that’s almost history. It’s been great! I’d like to take this opportunity to, once again, say, “Thanks so much” to all of you who have chosen Photastic Images for your photography needs over the past year.
As I mentioned earlier, there are lots of changes taking place here. Some are already complete; for starters, the new, updated Photastic Images website launched TODAY! In the coming months, some additional features will be rolled out (such as a new online viewing and ordering function and a gallery of fine art) so stay tuned!

Winter doesn’t begin for another five days. Yeah, right! Try convincing everyone who spent half of today digging themselves out. Calendar aside, it’s Winter now…period!
But looking ahead, there’s a new year right around the corner & it’ll be warm and sunny before you know it. In the meantime, the rest of this year has much to offer - Holidays, time with family and friends, a chance to reflect on the past year and make those big plans for the New Year.

Wow - it seems like Halloween was just a couple weeks ago and now Christmas is less than three weeks away! Where does the time go??!
As you may have noticed (if you’ve checked out the blog and/or website before) things are looking a bit different. Yeah, there is a little re-designing taking place as we approach a new year!

After a long Summer, it looks like Autumn is upon us. The trees are changing, at last. It’s been rather an odd year, climate-wise. Think back to Spring - how there was the false start and then into the deep freeze, confusing the flora and fauna greatly! But Fall is here and it looks like the real deal…

Saturday, I did the the engagement photos for Amanda and Chris. We started at Dodge Park and then went to the Shelby Twp. Civic Center. From there, we moved on to Yates Cider Mill for a few more shots (and some refreshing cider and doughnuts!). It was a mighty warm day for October 6th but everyone toughed it out! Saturday was a day to relax and enjoy some of the local scene at the 28th Detroit Jazz Festival. We were blessed with perfect weather and graced with performances by a couple of legends - Dave Brubeck and Marcus Belgrave! There also were performances by myriad other artists - all in celebration of the universal language - music! Here are some highlights…
